Summarize a Video with CinLink

Learn how to drag a video into the CinLink workspace, start the Summarize Video task from quick actions or chat, and receive a clear video summary.

Summarize the Video

CinLink can help you understand and summarize a video directly from your working folder. After you select a video in the workspace, you can start the summary task from the quick action bar or by typing a natural language instruction.

1. Drag a Video into the Workspace

Drag video files directly to the upload area in the chat box, or click the upload area in the chat box to add videos.

@mention the video in the chat area, and CinLink will treat it as the target file for the next task.

2. Choose How to Start the Summary Task

Type “/” in the chat box and select Summarize Video. CinLink will start parsing and summarizing the video you dragged into the workspace.

Alternatively, type Summarize this video in the chat box and send the message. CinLink will detect that you want a summary of the current video.

3. Let CinLink Analyze the Video

After receiving your instruction, CinLink identifies the selected video and starts the summarization workflow.
CinLink transcribes the spoken content, analyzes the script, understands the key ideas and structure of the video, and then generates a clear summary of the content.

4. Review the Summary

When the task is complete, CinLink delivers the final summary in the workspace. You can review the result, ask follow-up questions, or continue with related tasks such as extracting key points, creating subtitles, or preparing a translated version.

Tips

  • Make sure the video you want to summarize has been dragged into the workspace before starting the task.
  • If you use the chat box, a simple instruction such as Summarize this video is enough for CinLink to understand the task.
  • You can ask follow-up questions after the summary is generated, such as asking CinLink to make it shorter, turn it into bullet points, or extract action items.
